Continuous & Comprehensive Assessment

The academic session is evaluated across structured formative and summative milestones to reflect authentic student progress.

Continuous Formative (20% Aggregate)

Conducted at scheduled intervals to test conceptual learning without subjecting students to extreme examination anxiety.

Summative Evaluation (30% Aggregate)

Comprehensive evaluation assessing cumulative learning over the first semester across theoretical and practical dimensions.

Includes subject enrichment activities, laboratory practical logs, notebook neatness, and oral viva voce examinations.

Final Summative (40% Aggregate)

Comprehensive annual examination covering the full year's prescribed curriculum portion to determine promotional eligibility.

Sacred Heart Standards

A student must score a minimum of 40% aggregate marks in every subject to qualify for promotion to the higher grade.
Pass in English is compulsory for promotion as per Council regulations.
No re-examinations or compensatory tests are granted to students who miss tests, except under medically documented circumstances verified by the Principal.

Any student caught resorting to unfair means, notes, copying, or whispering will be awarded zero in that paper and face disciplinary suspension.
Students must occupy designated roll number desks 10 minutes prior to exam commencement.
All stationery must be carried in transparent exam pouches. No loose papers permitted.
